This weekend we were in Duluth for a little family vaca and to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary...yes, I can't belive it's been 5 years already.
Scarlett is just worn out from all the excitment but I think she had a great time. We spent alot of time in Canal park and even went on a cruise of Lake Superior. Scarlett got to dine in a very fancy Italian restaurant and "charmed" (a nice word for fussy) all the patrons. The couples on each side of us were so nice about it. The couple on my left thought it was just fine (Grandparents of 6 grandchildren) the couple on our right was a pair of high schoolers on a date. They thought she was cute but can we just say it was great birth control for the two.
Yes, Scarlett was a very big deal this weekend. Especially when she wears the sequin rose hair bands I made for her. I guess the only way to be a really big deal (without super model good looks and rock star talent) is to have a baby...wow we are popular and approachable!
Thanks Scarlett!
Also, thanks to the fine travelers in Duluth this weekend for taking our family pictures because who can resist "such a beautiful family...can we take your photo for you? It will be your Christmas card!" ...um...I don't think any were that great but nice to have anyway!
Comments:cuzzy cara: Bridgy, I love your entries they're so fun to read! Glad you had a good anniversary trip. After 10 years we still have not found a place that we'd go back to, at that time of year that is. Maybe a little later in the summer when its warmer. Post more pics! Love to see that baby! Take care. CaraAdd a comment:

We had a great Father's Day outing @ Como Zoo today. Unfortunaly our little princess slept most of the time and missed out on seeing all the big animals. Just as we were leaving she woke up so we had to rush back into the conservatory to get a few pictures with all the pretty flowers which she was very interested in eating...I think there was even a flower that was uprooted...woops!
Scarlett got her daddy a fabulous and fun book for Father's Day - "Pinkalicious" (it's all about a girl who eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink!) - she thought there couldn't be a better present than her daddy getting to read a book to his little girl.
Scarlett and I are pretty blessed to have Ryan -He is such a great dad & husband we don't know what we would do without him.
And...he is back from the Boundary Waters! Yay!

Scarlett is now officially rolling over. She has mastered this task so well that she no longer can continue with unsupervised playtime. It's quite thrilling to her dad and I that she can roll over...it's so fun to watch!
Her absolutely favorite thing to do is to jump in her jumperoo...she could go on forever as long as she has some fun music going and an audiance. She is gearing up for superstardom I guess.
Scarlett had her 4 month check-up this month and her Dr. said she is doing just fabulous. She is right at about 55% for height & weight which is great but I think she is kinda a little peanut. Her cousins were over a 1 1/2 lbs. more than her at this age. Maybe it has to do with her obsession over spitting up absolutely everything she eats?
We had a great Mother's Day (I know that was a while ago now! :0) Ryan, Scarlett & I (Malley too) went to Taylor's Falls for some fresh air and hiking.
Ryan leaves for 7 days in the Boundary Waters on Friday...boo hoo! We are going to miss him. Hopefully my super hero mommy skills will step in so I can do it all!
Happy June!Comments:Auntie Barb: Great to hear our little Scarlett is doing so well--can't say that I am surprised--she has such great parents! Keep doing the great job that you are! Ryan--have tons of fun in the Boundary Waters area...but be careful! Love Auntie BarbAbbey: Bridget - you will do just fabulous while Ryan is gone! We have been super hero mommies since the day our little girls were born!
Fun to hear that Scarlett has reached some new milestones! We go for Maari's 2 month check up next week, I think she'll be in the 100 %-tile for weight! HA!Add a comment:
