    Yay! The cousins!!!!
Scarlett got to see her dear cousins, Haakon & Marit last weekend in Climax. Rebekah, Grant, Haakon & Marit were home for Grants sisters wedding so Pete, Sarah, Ryan, Scarlett & I made the trip up north to see everyone.
Wow, poor Nana & Papa is all I gotta say, putting up with all the craziness but I know they loved it.
Scarlett just loved playing with the kids and they loved her too. We can't wait until they move back for good!

Scarlett had her 6 mo. check up last week and Dr. Z says that she is doing great - except for a couple things...ok one thing...she told me picking Scarlett up at night when she cries (2 - 3 times) and nursing her should probably come to an end.
So, Ryan and I are practicing a little tough love which consists of the following if you have a baby that doesn't sleep through the night...(no comments here from moms with children who sleep through the night (Abbey)!)
Scarlett wakes us up crying like someone just stole her fav. dolly, stepped on her toe, told her she must never wear pink all while she is dangling from her mobile! (not literally)
So, Ryan and I take turns walking into her perfectly cozy pink princess room and rub her back or tummy, give her blankly, binky & cuddly toy and say "shhhhhhh"...It is quite an effective method but it takes awhile for her crying to stop.
So, that's mom & dads fun new activity at night.

    Scarlett's new activities include:
Eating like a champ-which her parents are so proud of her for!
Going from her tummy to completely sitting up on her own.
    Crawling faster & faster!
    Playing "catch" with daddy.

    Comments:
Tanya:  You are braver than I! Alex is over 14 months old and I still get up with him at night to nurse. Well, kinda'. He's also still in our bed, which makes it easier! :) I think that it's just as hard on mommy as it is on the baby, but that is our next goal...let me know your tips!
Nikki Massmann:  Bridget, I am a friend of Rebekah's. I have to tell you to keep up the good work with getting Scarlett to sleep through the night. I did this with both my children (only I wasn't as nice as you, I just let them cry) when they were about 6 or 7 months, and it only lasted a few days! After a few days, they were sleeping soundly all night, and both of them STILL go to bed like little champs every night, no matter if we are home or at Grandma's. You will be so happy when it's all over, I promise! :)
